    saving to a Step file

    Can anyone tell me how I save a DWG to a Step file?

    Babel3D can convert between them. Its free to register.

    I believe that Autodesk Fusion 360 can also convert between .stp and .dwg in the cloud. Its in Beta at the moment.

    .stp (step) files are a Solidworks format so of course if you know someone with Solidworks they can open the .dwg and save it as a .stp.
    Im intelligent enough to know that I dont know everything; but I'll tell you all about it anyway.
