help getting specific volumes etc.

Hello guys , is it possible to include the material into the model i.e aluminium and be able to collect a file that states it volume, mass proprties etc for the model according to the material it is to be made from and ad it to my lay out drawings , if you can understand what i'm trying to say

Plain AutoCAD? Not sure that is possible. You just have to do the math. AutoCAD may allow you to assign a material that looks like aluminum, or copper, or cast iron for that matter but there is no way to tell AutoCAD the weight per cubic foot (or whatever unit of measure you want to use) and then have it return the total weight of the object.

Cheers , i thought the old calculator was going to have to come out again , but there we go an update for autocad to look into , to make life that little bit easier
