AutoCAD LT 2011 - uninstall then reinstall on different PC

Hello,

I would like to uninstall LT 2011 from 1 PC and install on a different PC.

How do I remove the software licence from the 1st PC?. Where is it located?.

I have the installation disks and serial number but I cannot activate the licence on the 2nd PC.
I am assuming that it detects that another PC on the LAN already uses this software licence.

It's on your server isn't it?

As long as the other PC isn't using the program at the time you are trying to use it on the second computer I don't know why you could not point it to look in the proper location. Your AutoDesk dealer should be able to explain it to you.

It is a standalone copy.
When I try to export using the export utility it states "Serial Number not valid".
I am getting "Error reference : 1 ".
I am using a genuine Serial number which already works on the other PC.

It still shows the same error.
We have 5 standalone copies. If I try to export any of the serial numbers the same error comes up stating "Serial Number not valid. Error Ref 1 ".
Autocad Lt works perfectly on the machines it is currently installed on.

Our 5th copy isn't installed on any PC however the serial number has been removed from the cover of the CD case. How would I be able to retrieve this?. Is there a link on Autodesk's website?.

I think the thing to do here is pick up the phone and call your authorized AutoDesk dealer and ask for some assistance. If you purchased 5 copies then someone has a list of all the serial numbers. That "someone" would be the dealer.

Yes that was my next step but it was as easy asking an "expert" on this forum.

It still doesnt make sense to receive the Serial number error when I have 5 original copies with genuine serial numbers and the same error appears for each.

We have five standalone copies too (various versions of AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD Electrical) and have never had a problem with our serial numbers. We don't export licenses either when switching over to a new computer which I've personally done several times over the years.

Why is it only now that you notice that you do not have all five serial numbers?

Well I hope your dealer is reputable.
