    Hatch, and text

    hello everyone!
I'm new here. I'm glad to be here, I hope that I can improve here my cad knowledge.

And here is the first question:
How to use hatch options, in area (in room for e.x.), and also cover area around the text that it is in this area.
I hope, that my question it quite clear. And you know what I mean.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, it's a bit quiet on here at the moment but I believe that I can help.

I think that you are talking about hatch 'islands' - ie. leaving a hole in the hatch so that the text can be seen.

There are 3 'island' settings that will each give different effects.

These can be set in the Hatch dialogue box, you may need to expand the dialogue to see them - use the black arrow at the bottom right.

You can also set then by changing the variables:

    HPISLANDDETECTIONMODE https://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...16501-htm.html

All the commands and variables related to hatching can be seen here:
