A friend of mine sent this to me the other day. I think it speaks for itself. :)
Looking really good so far Styk, especially considering you're doing this in Autocad. I would have definitely chosen Studio Max or Modo, (My new favorite program), for a project like this. So good...
There is no such thing as Autocad 2D. There is Autocad and Autocad LT. Autocad is fully capable of creating 3D models and environments. Autocad LT is, for the most part, 2D only. But it does have...
Here's a little reading material for you: http://www.adraft.com/documents/PlotStylesClearingUptheMystery.pdf
It sounds like you're accidentally double tapping your mouse wheel, which will perform a zoom extents. Make sure to press and hold the scroll wheel firmly when panning.

EDIT by Nukecad-
User keys has now been banned, not because of the content of his posts, but because he registered with a false email address.
And in your "Autocad Alternative" section, why don't you have Bricscad, Progecad or Draftsight mentioned. All three of these programs are much better alternatives than the ones you have chosen to...
I noticed that you don't have CAD Everything listed in your "8 AutoCAD Sites and Resources". Shame on you for advertising your site here but not advertising our site on yours.
:thumbs_do
Yes, I've done this quite a bit, but as pendean stated, you will have to plot to pdf or eps format in order to get your CAD drawing into Photoshop. It's not a big deal, it's just the way you have to...
Someone is about to get banned.
Thanks for the video Exxit. That was hilarious. :thspitcoffee:
The sad thing is that a few of those clips seem far too familiar to me. Makes me glad that I don't drink like that anymore.
Did you get it figured out? It's always best, if possible, to upload your file so we can take a look. It can sometimes be very difficult to diagnose problems like this without having the file to work...
Did you do a complete uninstall/reinstall? http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240817
Open your "Page Setup Manager" and uncheck "Display Plot Styles".
Type PICKADD at the command line and change the setting to 2.
Type PICKFIRST at the command line and change the setting to 1.
Yes, I use Google Earth to get aerial photos for projects also, but usually the images are several years old. I don't know how often they update the database?
Sorry, but I don't see how you're going to build a 3D model of an apartment complex from an overhead aerial photo only. You can't see anything other than the rooftops. How do you know what the...
Just send him your .dwg file. Depending on the version of Microstation your colleague is using, he should be able to import the .dwg file: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g54tpTWiKJA.
Several of us are running 2012 on Windows 7 at work with no problems at all. That's not to say that you won't have any problems. I'm just saying that it works fine for us.
My own personal opinion...
Are you talking about a .sldprt Solidworks file? Autocad cannot open or import this file type.
Have your vendor open the files on his end and export .dwg files for you....
That's like saying:
"I'm a delivery driver but I can't afford to purchase a car so I see nothing wrong with stealing one in order to make my deliveries until I can afford to buy one."
Check...
Agreed. Regardless of whether Autodesk chooses to support their older versions or not, a purchase is a purchase and they should honor that. I hate the way Autodesk chooses to conduct their business....
Does this problem occur in all drawings or just one?
If it happens in all drawings, try running a repair and see if that fixes the problem....
