Try this:
There are two variables that you should check in both files (the template and the one where you are trying to insert the block) so the values are the same.
First use the command UNITS and check the values.
Second use the command INSUNITS and make sure that both drawings have the same values.
If you want ton know the meaning (units) of each value for INSUNITS check this: http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS1a9193826455f5ffa23ce210c4a30acaf-4f8f.htm,topicNumber=d0e348840 or press F1 and search for INSUNITS in AutoCAD.
Hope it works for You. If it doesn´t there are other reasons why this happens, so please don't hesitate to ask again

Hi ksc,

As you are in the UK I assume that you are drawing in metric.
A couple of years ago I attached a set of metric drawing templates (title blocks) to the following thread-

You are free to download, use, and modify these as you like.
There are some instructions with them to show how to modify them to include your own company logo, etc.

It is not a good idea to put your email address on open view. (I see Webmaster has already edited it out).
Putting your address on open view is inviting loads of spam messages.

As Webmaster says you should use the forum for normal comunication; if you feel the need then you can upgrade to a GOLD membership.
Gold members can exchange private messages that can not be seen by others.

Yes, the templates are still available. See post #3. I just checked the link and it works fine. I was able to download METRIC-TEMPLATES.zip with no problem. Try again.

I must not have something setup quite right as I just seem to get a page of code on clicking the link. How annoying. I will persist.

Link still works for me too.

If you are still having problems then click the "Forum" tab at the top of the screen, go to "General Discussion", "Open CAD Discussion", and the thread with the templates is the fifth one down.
(It's a 'sticky' thread so it wont move from that position).

Apologies to george; there is an intermittent problem with the downloader, I have emailed you the file.

The templates will work in any version of AutoCAD whether you are on a PC or a Mac.

Nothing that I am aware of although I think that link has been misbehaving recently. I thought it had been fixed.

You'll have to email NukeCAD and request the template zip file.

I should have said to "PM" NukeCAD not email him. Sorry.
