New to AutoCAD

I hope you can help. I am teaching myself AUTOCAD at home after a 3 day crash course in basic AutoCAD. I have a student version of 2010 to practice with. I have tried converting the dwg file to a PDF so I can print and email to myself.

It converts and saves to PDF format fine- title block and everything. However, the drawing notes and dimensions are missing when I save it or do a print preview. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Marie,

there are several possibilities. Do you plot from the paper space?

1st Layers. Are the layers on an thawed and they are plotable?

Check the layer that the missing items are in, the printing for those layers maybe shut off, go into your layer control and look for the printer symbol and make sure that it does not have a slash thru it. If it does click on the slashed icon, this will turn on the printability of that layer.
