When creating slide files for insertion or reference in some custom menus, the slide files are created with huge sizes, 8Mb, 4Mb as opposed to 8Kb or 4Kb...any ideas?

What format are the slide files in?

Depending on the format this might help to cut them down to size-

The slide files have a .sld extension. They are ACAD generated slide files. I think this command has been around since ACAD 2000 or so.

When you view the slide, does it look like what you expected? Yes 4MB is way large for a slide.

Yes, the image looks fine. BTW...the avatar resizing program will not resize sld files.

I'd say it must be 1 of these, probably :)

1-The AutoCAD installation has problems
2-You have a super-high screen resolution, thus causing large slide files
3-somone is misreading 4,000 bytes as 4 MB

Large screen resolution...maybe that's it?!! And for reference, it would be me that would be misreading the file size and, I'M NOT! (can you take the knife out of my back please, lol). Thanks for the input and your time.

You're welcome. No I ddin't think you were the type who would err on that. But I have seen some threads go on & on, then the OP would say "oh nevermind, it was just a smudge on my glassess" or some other simple user error..so I just wanted to throw all my ideas out there :)

So maybe it's screen resolution, you could crank it down for making slides & see if that helps. But I know you knew that :)
