AUTOCAD 2008

1.) Raster Image Draw Order Problem

a. insert raster image into a autocad dwg
b. trace over that image with autocad lines, text, etc.
c. save the drawing
d. re-open the drawing

When the drawing is re-opened, the raster image automatically moves to the top of the drawing order, covering all my autocad linework. Then you have to regen the drawing in order to fix the problem. I have messed around with the DRAWORDER command as well as setting the image to transparent, but no success.
Does anyone know how to make the raster image always stay in the back?

2.) Reconsile Layer feature, completely annoying! I have read numerous articles saying that AutoCAD has made this feature drawing specific as opposed to an overall setting. What this means is that every drawing you edit layers in a xref, you get pop ups stating that layers have changed. Especially annoying when you are publishing a set of drawings. Does anyone know of an overall command to turn this nonsense off completely? Or a command that will reconsile the layers automatically without the pop up message?

I thank everyone for taking the time to read my questions, and putting the effort to possibly answering them.

Open Notepad and save as acaddoc.lsp into your Autocad 2008 "Support" folder. Then add the two lines below:

(setvar "LAYEREVAL" 0)
(setvar "LAYERNOTIFY" 0)

After doing this, you will no longer get the annoying pop-ups when you open drawings.
