so im working on this job and i ddedited " filler" to the end of a ton of dimensions. i have since learned i should have made new style and used the suffix text option. what i would like to know is, is there an easy way to fix the ones i already messed up? i tried the find and replace command, it doesnt find the text. i even tried searching for it as [ <>" filler ] (the <> make them associative) i tried copy pasting the text string from the ddedit into find and that did not work either. at this point im using ddedit , then hitting "end" then backspacing the word filler off them, but its very time consuming.

Try selecting multiple dimensions and then looking at the PROPERTIES box.

If you change the 'Text Override' value to <> then it should get rid of all the overides and just leave the dimension values behind.

Ive not tried this myself yet so keep a backup of the drawing just in case.

:Welcome:

Yes worked OK here too.

Another one that works is to select multiple dims then type-

_dimedit
n
enter
(up comes the text edit box, dont change anything)
OK

and all the overrides dissapear.
