    "Layer" freezes program - HELP

Am running AutoCad V2005. A problem JUST began. The program freezes when I either click on the "Layer Properties Manager" icon, or type in '_layer or I type in layer.
Everything was fine yesterday???? HELP!!!! Thanks.

This happens with different drawings, happens whether purged or not. Just prior to noticing this problem, I had been "playing" with/setting up Tool Palettes with the "Design Center".

    HELP!!!! Thanks.

    MisterMo,

I don't know this problem exactly. I think Your installation is on the fritz . Try to repair it with the repair option on Your acad cd.

Thanks, but it has been working just fine. I would try re-install but it is a company computer/company s/w and they don't "let" the disks out and the IT department is "invisible" in a city somewhere...700 miles away. Am flying solo, but what else is new????

Have the appropriate service pack installed. There is one for layer dialog box problems.
