3D Objects with jagged edge when plotting

    Hi All,

I have a problem with AutoCAD Mechanical 2017.

I have drawn up a bay of storage racking in 3D and when I try to print this the quality is very bad and it shows lines as jagged edges

I have tried searching the internet for a solution but whatever I try doesn't solve it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try changing the Shade Plot from "As Displayed" to "Legacy Hidden".

    Unfortunately this doesn't change anything.

I just have the feeling its a simple setting that needs changed but I cannot figure it out.

Any other ideas? thanks for your help

    That was the simple setting.

Maybe the problem is an outdated printer driver.

It even shows it as jagged when I select print preview. This is the case for either a PDF or when sending to the plotter.

Does this sound like a driver issue?

It could be. If I had a copy of the drawing I could test print it off my system. I would need but a couple of 3D objects and not the entire drawing.

Did you try setting your visual style to Hidden?
