I just upgraded from AutoCad 2000i to AutoCad 2004.....
In 2000i I was able to label lines and the output would look like: N57^30'30"W 200.00'
In 2004 it looks like: N 57^30'30" W 200.00'
how do I get rid of the space befor the 5 and the space befor the W
P.S. the ^ symbol is in reality a degree symbol which outputs correctly in Cad

Hi,
yes I can do that also using Mtext or "DT" (text) command..... The deal is when I use automatic labeling, I can go set stuff up to label above or below the line while using the already defined {direction} {distance} variables. However in 2004 the {direction} variable puts out N 50^50'50" W,,,,,, in 2000i the {direction} variable put out N50^50'50"W, no spaces..... How do I edit the variable
P.S. the ^ symbol is really a degree symbol, I just don't know how to create one here in this reply
What is automatic labeling? Are you using an add-on to AutoCAD or perhaps a custom lisp routine?
