    AUTOCAD - FATAL ERROR

    OS - WIDOWS 7 PRO 64 BIT
    AUTOCAD 2007

HAVING THE FOLLOWING PROBLEM WHILE WORKING IN AUTOCAD
I HAVE SAY 2 DRAWINGS OPEN IN AUTOCAD AND I AM WORKING ON THEM

WHEN I TRY TO OPEN A NEW FILE I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE

"FATAL ERROR : UNHANDLED e06d7363h EXCEPTION at 75cac42dh"

THEN AUTOCAD KICKS OUT ASKING IF I WANT MY DRAWINGS TO BE SAVED AND REPORT SEND TO AUTODESK
    I ESPOND WITH "NO" ETC

THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH ALL OF THIS IS THAT I LOOSE WHATEVER I HAVE BEEN DOING ON THE OPEN DRAWING
    (AUTOSAVE SET AT 10 MINUTES)
I KNOW WHERE TO RETRIEVE THE DRAWING (FILE "VIRTUAL STORE") BUT I LOOSE INFO FROM THE LAST "AUTOSAVE

IS THERE ANYTHING THAT I CAN DO TO PREVENT THIS "ERROR"
OR HAS IT SOMETHING TO DO WITH WIN 7 & AUTOCAD 2007 COMPATIBILITY

ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE APPRECIATED THX

    NIEKO

You could try using the RECOVER command.

Or you could try doing a REPAIR of the installation which is not the same as an UNINSTALL/REINSTALL.

You could upgrade the version of AutoCAD that you are using or find a much cheaper AutoCAD-clone and buy/install that instead.

You could try searching for that particular error message over at the AutoDesk website in hopes that it is common enough to have genrated a "solution".

Are you also saying that you can't open your last Autosave .sv$ file?
(It's not that clear from your post).

If this is the case then try setting the variable ISAVEPERCENT to 100

This saves the autosave file as a full drawing rather than a logfile; and all you then have to do to get it back is change the .sv$ file extension to .dwg.
Im intelligent enough to know that I dont know everything; but I'll tell you all about it anyway.
