Any Chance someone has Autocad LT 2002 SP1? (K030ltss1_K044_aclt_unl.exe)

I'm trying to set up My Windows 7 64bit to run Autocad 2002 in Administrator and XP SP3 mode. It's a raw install without any updates but I've got it to open and create lines but as soon as I try opening an existing drawing I get a fatal error.

I'd be nice to get both SP1 and SP2 installed and also I've come across references to third party software that helps Acad LT 2002 to run in the Win7 inviroment.

Any help with my quest is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Randy

You can find links for the 2002 SP1.exe and SP2.exe in steps 6 & 7 of this guide to installing LT2002 on windows 7 or 8

    http://blog.longbowsoftware.com/inst...and-windows-8/

I've not tried them as I dont have 2002, but the article is only 2 months old and the download links seem valid.

As for the fatal error when opening a drawing, some users have reported this before with 2000/2002/2004 running on windows 7 and that just plugging a memory stick into any USB port solves the problem. (No-one knows why but it works).

Thanks Nuke, I'll have the time to work on it tomorrow night and check it out.

    Mmmm,

Somebody else posted today in another thread that the USB fix works because the 'Recent Files' list in 2002 and windows 7 is trying to access a non-existent drive, and suggests a registry fix for it.

Warning: edit the registry at your own risk. If you make a mistake in there you can screw your system up.
