Hello Everyone,
I have an unusual reguest, i need to place a plot stamp in model space for plotting purposes for other firms to see. is it possible for a Lisp file to retrieve my plot scale factor and insert into model space as text that will be viewable to anyone plotting the sheet. By the way we work and plot in model space if that helps.

Thanks in advance,
Kio

There verious lisp routines out there that are capable of adding plot stamps, I don't know if any of them utilise the plotscale though.
I guess it wouldn't hard to modify one to do so.

Have a look on this site for one http://www.freecadapps.com/shareware.php

I have just printed out a plot stamp in model space, all details are in the plot dialogue box (Acad Mech 2007).
File/Plot/tick "plot stamp on" (middle right of box), change the settings in the box to the right, available stamp features are - Dwg name, layout name, date & time, login name, device name, paper size, plot scale as well as user defined fields. Font etc can also be changed here. The test print was fine.

Hey Chris,
Thanks but i think i'm looking for a Lisp that will actually show the plot stamp in model space before the dwg. is plotted. The lisp file also has to reflect the current plot scale.

Have you tried using Fields? It's also possible to do this with the use of RTEXT. http://www.paug.org/cotm/cotm_02/PAUG_COM_2002-02-06_RTEXT.pdf .I'm not sure how you would get the scale though with Rtext, but the rest is do-able and would be visible on screen.
